I could not bend the mahogany tight enough for the shelf which is 3” shorter in diameter than the portal frame. I repurposed the frame from the hatch grate and judiciously had barely enough to glue this up. I’ll turn it on the band saw when it dries. Close match to the original Loose assembly For fun I have to let the legs into the lower shelf. Set the dado at 3.5% because I have to have a 1.5” taper on the legs. And with a coat of amber shellac to match the original patina it’s done Installed last night, December 3, 2020 Happy customer
